The Injured Workers' Hand and Wrist: Common Injuries in the Workplace (1hr)

Learning Objectives
The participant will be able to identify four common hand injuries found in the workplace.
The participant will be able to describe the basic anatomy of the carpal tunnel, the first dorsal compartment (DeQuervains), and bones of the hand and wrist.
The participant will be able to discuss at least two interventions a hand therapist may use that are supported by recent literature.
The participant will be able to describe one cognitive intervention for managing pain in the catastrophying injured worker
The participant will be able to describe the role of a certified hand therapist in the care of the injured worker with a hand injury.
